Student of Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), 2nd year MA degree, Communication and Media
1.Why did you join the project?
Pure fate, I have to say. In this semester I studied communication strategy planning and I was looking for a project for the course to work on. I heard about Odoo and I thought it could fit for my course assignment. It started as a school project and at the end it became a passionate matter. As I started to sum up, I realized this is one of those moments when you are on the perfect place in a right time.
2. What are you doing in the project right now?
I work on the communication plan. This is one of the main tasks for the communication group at the moment. In addition there are always other challenges where I can cut in. For example we put a Christmas tree in one of the main buildings of the University with the help of the Formula Racing Team and Cube Sat (Masat1) team. They are other student project teams from BME and it was fun to put them to touch and get to know they work.
3. What do you expect from the future? What are you doing besides the project? I?m a last year student at the university so my main task is my thesis at the moment. The topic is quite complex, but very important to me. First of all, I would like to write it as well as I can. It may sounds elemental but the plan to put the best work of your life on the table is never boring. After my final exam I would like to start to work on my PhD dissertation and it requires a lot of preparation. I think this will keep my busy for a while.
4. In your opinion, how will we participate in the competition? What do you think, what is the most difficult part of the project?
The people I get to know in this project are exceptional talented. I learn a lot from them. That?s why I think we will participate successfully in the competition. On the other hand this is a basically student project which could be a huge advantage and disadvantage as well. I consider this as the most difficult part of it. How we manage so much creative force in one space. The first thing what passed my mind when I met the team was that they how professionally handle this. This was a reason I finally decided to work with them.
5. What results and merits have you achieved during your studies, tell me about it.
During my Masters studies I participated in several projects on the University. Finally seeing my ideas come to life is quite exiting. I?m most proud of the blog közeljovo.komm.bme. We wrote about science, IT and technology based topics and besides it was an excellent experience this blog also fulfilled an important gap in the Hungarian blog scene.
A few weeks ago with my fellow students Helga Zaborszki and Nidal Chalhoub, I won an award in the Scientific Student Conference with a thesis about environment communication. We also received the Rezler Fundation Award, which was an excellent closing for our month?s long work.
