Apropos of the exhibition (see our last entry) we were thinking to devote a post about our visaul image, in which we describe in detail the concept and ideas of our graphic designers.
As in the competition the communication and social awareness is one of the evaluation criteria it is important that the team how and what communicates. Therefore, the image of Odooproject was created with the same innovative and progressive ideas by Dani and Peti as the architects and engineers created the house itself: ?Our main aim was that the graphic design to be in a close relationship and work in harmony with the building.?
The Earth?s bidirectional ever-changing movement (around the Sun and its axis) results in a natural dynamics that is an obvious image solution for the creation of a dynamically changing corporate identity logo. The dynamic or changing logo has become popular in our virtual media dominated world, but fewer and fewer is mentally or philosophically well founded. The concept?s aim lies in the recognition that the sun is fully perform the graphical task, when it reflects the image of the house in form of shadow onto the plain; so the basic concept of the house?s design appears in the image: the change of seasons and weather effect the inhabitants of the house, so the sun affect the image as well. Dani and Peti, the two creators, when we ask them about it, just say:? We wanted to create an image, which is powered by sun energy.?
Finally, the stylized image of the house ? that is constant ? and the continuously changing shadow was chosen as the components of the logo. In this way they created a dynamic sign, which one part is always intense and continuously changing from hour to hour and day by day. Stable points are the house and the subtitle, by which it creates an absolute unity. During the development of the logo, we analyzed a Hungarian summer and autumn day and selected 11 day and one night (inverse) version, which are optimal from aesthetical viewpoint. Besides we have the opportunity that our logo moves on online sites and in videos, such in the header of our website, where after an accelerated animation we can see in real time, where the sun shines from in Hungary and what the shadow of the house would look like. In addition, Dani and Peti, the Hidden Characters (link: https://www.facebook.com/hiddencharacters) promise that soon it will be not only a constantly changing sign, but in some cases it has the opportunity to become interactive.
Fortunately, the boys have had a lot of help to all this, as without András Polgár, who carried out several programming and computing tasks during the work, the header of the website couldn?t came true; on the website developing side there was Gábor Németh as well, the webmaster of the team.
