Dancing about architechture

„I have a friend, a jazz musician, trumpet player. Really terrific. And I go and hear him jam every month or so. And he plays this piece I love: an old Chet Baker song.
And he blows the same notes every time, but every time it sounds different. And we had drinks one night — when I used to drink — and I tried to tell him how that song made me feel… how the music made me feel and how his playing made me feel. And he just kept shakin’ his head, and he said… “Joan, you can’t talk about music. Talking about music is like dancing about architecture.”

I just said, “Well, gonna get all philosophical on me. It’s just as pointless as talking about a lot of things. Love, for instance.”

And my friend laughed, and he said,

“Definitely. Most definitely. Talking about love is like dancing about architecture.”

So I don’t know. He might be right. But it ain’t gonna stop me from trying. - sounds in the scene of a movie Playing by Heart. And this quote perfectly expresses the point! But let’s twist things a little bit! Architecture is like love: you can talk about it, but you will never understand its real essence without being able to feel it. No matter how hard you try to describe it with numbers, shapes and using the language of physics, it still remains very human.

As stated in the quote we also tried the impossible: we danced about architecture and we enjoyed it very much!

Once upon a time the Odooproject sought and found a group of young and talented people (we can state – traditionally). We asked them to write a song for us, about us. A song, which can capture what Odooproject truly means. The guys wrote the music and presented for us with a fine amount of volume. We are not in the position to give away more at the moment, but we say one thing: we loved it! The Odooproject proudly presents: the Corny Band!

The band was formed in spring of 2010, with the concept of unique mix of alternative, indie and new wave sound. The five members represent five different values, five different worlds which creates unique shape in “The Corny” sound. Their taste also differs: beside alternative and indie, also jazz and elecrto influenced their music.

We will present the new song soon, but until then surf on the band’s website, listen to their music, and whistle very loud!
