Odoo is a student team, which aim is to represent Hungary and the BUTE at the Solar Decathlon Europe competition at summer 2012. From all over the world 20 teams participate in the competition. The task of the academic teams is to build a solely solar-powered house, develops and uses up theirs innovative solutions.
After a long and stressful preparation on 10th January 2010 we got the official notice, that the organizers from Madrid accepted our application, so we got the ?green light? to the competition and to the financial support. The scoring of the competition based on a complex criteria system, which demands a well-organized and aligned work. In our team there are architects, civil engineers, economists, energetic engineers, mechanical engineers, environmental engineers, electrical engineers and industrial design engineers. For all of us it is incredibly exciting to work in such a colourful environment. Besides that we can get to know each other, we have the chance to develop the technologies of the future as well. The Odooproject committed itself to build the house and resort all the help available in Hungary. We have noticed at the really beginning, that not only for us is important to popularize sustainable development but for teachers, researchers and market representatives as well. We use up every help for the sake of mankind. Maybe some people raise a smile about this statement, we just want, that people can smile for quite a long time on Earth.
The aim of the blog is to inform those, who are interested in our work. We hope that the news from our researches and results will show You, that it is worth to put your time, money and energy into the future.
