Student of Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), 4th year degree, Architect
1. Why did you join the project?
I joined to the project, because I find the project interesting, the solar architecture and its knowledge more and more important. In addition, I like the fact that I can work together with students from other faculties, we need to work for a common goal and consult with each other. This is similar to a real design process, one that will be waiting for us in life. I find the project a great challenge and casino online a huge trial. Challenge, because what we designed and drawn on paper that will be built and becomes reality. Trial, because we test our knowledge, experience, creativity, ability of cooperation, communication and thinking. I?m a fourth year student, most of the team members are graduate student, so I can learn a lot from them. Thanks to the project, I get to know lot of university lecturer and a more direct relationship can develop between teacher and student. During the project I can build connections with professional companies and also with any other professional disciplines. Last but not least, I can be a part of a good community, I can participate in team-building parties and make friends.
2. What are you doing in the project right now?
I spend a lot of time in the office, where like my fellow designer mates I deal with architecture, planning and the mock-up. Currently, I?m dealing with the interior of the building; with the visualisation and planning of different functional furniture, such as cabinets, working surfaces, bed-closet, different covers, surfaces and the external terrace. I also help the work of the communication team and as a self-improvement I study the foregoing Solar Decathlon plans in order to avoid the possible mistakes.
3. What do you expect from the future? What are you doing besides the project?
I expect from the future that I will find a job in the architecture profession; I can plan demanding and beautiful buildings. After graduation, I would like to spend some years abroad to gain professional experiences. Later, I?m thinking about a second diploma (e.g. economics) making my set goals even easier to achieve, and I can manage myself better. As a relaxation, I do sports, including competitive sport aerobic. As a result, this summer I took part in the Universiade in China as a member of the Hungarian national team. My plan is to participate in the World Cup, in the spring of 2012. Besides, I like skiing, nordic walking and climbing. If I need some relax I usually take photographs or go fishing.
4. In your opinion, how will we participate in the competition? What do you think, what is the most difficult part of the project?
I think that with such an enthusiastic team we will participate well in the competition. Talented, creative and smart people work together who sacrifice lot of time and energy for this project. I think the hardest part of the project is to obtain the financial support and those days will be, when we need to build the house in Madrid.
I?m glad to be the member of this team and I?m trying to help with all of my power supporting the work of our team in order to be successful at the Madrid final in 2012.
