As the result of the work of the Energy and Electrical Teams, the temperature measuring was launched at the top of the Building V1 last week, which is necessary to integrate the solar panel and collector together.
A system that is integrated like that is able to produce electric and heat energy as well. The measuring instruments, the 6-channel data logger and the cables were placed in a waterproof box in order to avoid failures and operate well, because they will provide measurement data for several months.
These data will be processed by a program (that was written by the members of the group) that displays on a computer, where we can follow them and also can be stored.
The measurements are also important because in this way we can get to know how the solar cells heat up during variable weather conditions. If they are too warm, their efficiency reduces, that is why we need to cool them. During this process we can produce hot water that could be serviceable for further use.
