Student of Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), 8th year degree, Architect
During my architecture studies I realized, which parts of the architect profession I?m interested in. These are building construction management, project management, which fit to my personality and I think, here I can develop my knowledge I got before during my personal works and at the university. In 2011 September Professor Zoltán Rostás gave me and my classmates the opportunity to join to the Odooproject as Implementation Team members, because they needed some strengthening. We work since then in the project, and the time will tell, if we really are a good strengthening.
2. What are you doing in the project right now?
Mostly I work with the sponsorship tasks, first we made some new documents, and we searched general strategic sponsors. Since the middle of November we go to those companies, who can support us with some building materials. We need the final list of materials and construction solutions because of the close Deliverable #4 deadline. In addition I work with the Implementation Team on the logistics, health and safety and site operation problems.
3. What do you expect from the future? What are you doing besides the project?
After so many years at the university I?d like to finish my studies first of all. The other goals in my life are hidden for me too, but I have some ideas. After graduation I?d like to work with building construction and real estate development tasks, that I?m interested in, and it would be great to get some experience somewhere abroad, learn languages and see the world. Maybe I continue my studies with a scholarship program at a foreign university.
4. In your opinion, how will we participate in the competition? What do you think, what is the most difficult part of the project?
We have plenty work to do, so I won?t talk about this as long as we build in the final screw in Madrid. The team leaders have to decide in some really important questions in these days, which basically form our plans. It?s really difficult to make a compromise in a 70 member organisation, nowadays the most difficulties are with transportation, building structure, and the project financing, but we work hard to solve the problems.
5. What results and merits have you achieved during your studies, tell me about it.
In 2006 I participated in a design-week at Széchenyi University, Faculty of Engineering Sciences. Since then with my teammates we won an award at the Department of Urban Studies for our underpass plan in Bicske, and with some other guys we won a tower-structure load test at the Department of Mechanics, Materials and Structures. In this November I was placed as shared first at the Section of Building Construction and Real Estate Development in a Scientific Student-Conference with my work about the relations of building materials and real estate development. Beside my studies I worked between 2008 and 2011 in a small architect company, and since August 2011 I?m a team member of a roof foil development project. I?m most proud of the measurement plans of the Corvinus University Main Building that was a really challenging and honourable work.
In 2007 we founded an extreme sport association with my best friend in our hometown Győr, and after a hard work last year we could open two extreme-sport parks. We have organized since then some competitions, and we develop the parks every time when we have the opportunity.
